Opening Store Launching Party Jl.Soekarno Hatta kav.03 no.03 ,Malang city

It was a really hot day, The Soekarno-Hatta’s which usually busy on weekends was a bit quiet that day. Not a perfect time to start a gig, I think. But the show must go on, so let’s get it on! The Rock ’n ’roll blues band, originally from Malang, JOHN ATTACK, started the gig by making my head banging, well, I have to admit, it makes me less worrying about the heat and the not-so-enthusiastic crowd. After JOHN ATTACK, the not-so-friendly weather was unfortunately getting hotter. But the MC’s immediately lightens it up with quizzes and their many jokes. And than they got MY BEAUTIFUL LIFE up the stage, the band definitely lightens up the mood with their pop music, and after few minutes, the stage were rocked by the head-banging Rock ‘n’ roll band LOLYTA, “God Bless Rock ‘n’ roll music”, yeah, they definitely were in the zone! Next we got BRIGADE07 took the stage, playing a nice and neat pop-punk, but somehow, the crowd were still not in the mood to dance, maybe it’s because of the hot hot heat. Amazingly, when the TROPICAL FOREST took the stage, the crowd started to dance and sing along to Bob Marley’s and-of-course the TROPICAL FOREST own songs, yeah! Suddenly it was time for a break for Adzan Maghrib, a few people started to plug-in the focus screen, during the MC’s back to give away prices from 3SECOND, GREENLIGHT, MOUTLEY, and TWO17. The crowd gets enthusiastic to won the prizes, and they gets more and more enthusiastic when Elfara’s Obi van arrived! After the break the guys from WAY REJECTED gave us a twist with their pop-rock songs, they sounds like Muse playing the Strokes songs. A quite unique combination I think. And then, a group of guys with pop-punk attitude invaded the stage, the crowd was hysterical as SNICKER AND THE CHICKEN FIGHTERS rocked the stage, it was sooo much fun, feels like I’m back to the 90’s. yeah, 90’s rules!! But the party’s just begun when BARRY PRIMA took the stage, remixing good old-skool Indonesian songs like “uang” , “panggung sandiwara”, and one of Vina Panduwinata’s song ( I cant remember the title ) into their own pop-punk style, the crowd was absolutely incredible!, I can say that they were entertained especially because the vocalist was being hilariously funny. DAN BAND immediately changed the cheerful pop-punk ambience into romantice-sensitive with their heart-melting love songs. DAN BAND is originally from Surabaya, and moved out to Jakarta after they recorded their first album. Finally the last performer is originally from Malang, THE MORNING AFTER, they played very neat pop songs, THE MORNING AFTER is the winner of indie music festival held by the one of leading tobacco company. At 11 pm, the concert finally ended, perfectly.
